About Us
Pastoral Staff
The pastoral staff is the most important part of our church. Without a great staff the church is doomed for failure. Apostle Greg through divine anointing has built just such a staff. On the following pages in this section you will find detailed descriptions of the responsibilities of our Pastors, Ministers and Deacons.
The Pastors in our church are also the elders of our church. They are the backbone of our church. The Elders are responsible for Pastoring, counsel, overseeing the spiritual health of the body (the Church) and oversee the deacons and ministers. They oversee every aspect of the operations of our church. A pastor leads each of our ministries. He guides the volunteers in the particular ministry with their various duties. We have eight Pastors working under Apostle Greg’s tutelage.
The Ministers here at Abundant Life Church are under the Pastors and assist them however necessary, usually assisting with church services and helping the Pastors as needed. We have five Ministers.
The Deacon/Deaconess is usually to assist with the pastoral and administrative needs of the church. The Deacons assist in helps- such as helping to set up for events, and maintain coordination of events, as well as maintaining integrity and model Christ. They help the Pastors and Ministers in any way necessary. At Abundant Life Church we have four Deacons and four Deaconesses.
The Clerical Staff handles the everyday activities of the church, such as filing, answering telephones, keeping records, handling money, and other various duties the Pastor or church may need. The Clerical Staff may also handle prayer requests, assist in coordinating various church functions, and assist the other staff as needed. The Clerical Staff must be especially discreet, trustworthy and compassionate.
The Ushers of the church are a very important part of the church services. They keep order and the service flowing smoothly. Some of their response abilities are seating parishioners, collecting tithes and assisting the rest of the stall where ever necessary.
This is only but a few of the areas that keep the church running smoothly. There numerous volunteers that perform various tasks around our church. This includes but is not limited to serving within the different Ministries, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and gardening and maintenance as needed.
